Beautiful day on the Osage River
We took off today in my boyfriend's bass boat and drove up the Osage River into the Missouri then into Loose Creek. In Loose Creek, hoards of flying carp crashed into the boat, scaring me out of my seat and into the floor of the boat. I didn't know fish could fly.
These pics show some of the leaves changing and the bottom picture is a beaver dam. We also saw two herons and a bald eagle.
Then I hit my home group so my day was complete.

those piccies are beautiful!
i don't do rowing though. i've seen one too many of those horror movies of people being terrorised, hunted and various painful things when they go on these rowing expeditions......
If I had known of the Attack of the Killer Carp, I may have rethought my trip, too!
Sounds like my kind of a day. The foliage is awesome.
nothing like the mid west for beautiful fall colors. Flying fish I have iny seen in the ocean. Really doesn't sound so pleasant on a river. Great pictures I love hearing about your great day.
